inTEST - Test Head Manipulator, Docking Hardware, Thermal Test Systems And Customized Test Interface Solutions

inTEST Corporation was founded in 1981 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The company is a leading independent designer, manufacturer, and marketer of test head manipulator and docking hardware products, thermal test systems and customized test interface solutions. These products are used by semiconductor manufacturers to perform final testing and characterization of integrated circuits and wafer products.

UNIVERSAL TEST HEAD MANIPULATORS

inTEST universal test head manipulators are designed to hold and to position test heads for use with any wafer prober and device handler. Our remarkable patented floating-head designs with Six Degrees of Motion Freedom give you the flexibility and ease of use you need to increase the utilization of your test equipment.

inTEST has developed three distinct lines of manipulator products. The in2, in2Pro, and M Series lines reflect the commitment to performance, dependability and safety that you have come to expect from inTEST over the past 20 years. We have developed a continuum of products ranging from freestanding manipulators to integrated test cell systems, built to "stand up" to the dynamic demands of the semiconductor test floor.

  • The free-floating in2 series provide counterbalanced, universal performance in three sizes, for test heads weighing 20lb to 950lb
  • The power-assisted in2Pro series provides the control and ease of use you want for larger test systems, up to 3,000lb

COMPACT MANIPULATORS

Intestlogic Series manipulators offer the convenience of state-of-the-art pneumatic power for positioning the test head, with up-and-down movements supported by air-pressure-based, floating-state technology. This series of powerful yet very compact manipulators features remarkably low weight and easy, intuitive handling over a wide range of test head sizes.

ATE DOCKING SYSTEMS

inTEST's patented docking systems are designed to control the electrical and mechanical interface between two pieces of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). Such docking hardware facilitates the quick, easy and safe change over of ATE test heads to wafer probers or package handlers. inTEST docking hardware provides cost savings through:

  • Improved utilization and increased flexibility of ATE through Plug Compatible" technology
  • Improved accuracy and integrity of test results by providing reliable, dependable performance
  • Reduced ATE maintenance costs by protecting delicate test interface components

Our Plug Compatible" docking technology is used by most major semiconductor manufacturers, with an installed base of over 5,000 designs worldwide. We have designed docking systems for over 175 different test head models as well as hardware for over 30 different wafer probers and 300 handler models. This unparalleled product offering illustrates the wide industry acceptance of our equipment and reinforces inTEST's position as a leading provider of high quality, dependable hardware for the semiconductor test floor.

CENTAUR WAFER-SORT INTERFACE

The Centaur interface gives you the maximum mechanical and electrical flexibility possible today in a wafer-sort interface. It lets you precisely and economically expand and upgrade your signal path as tester performance changes over time:

  • Pin Count Expansion: as tester pin count increases, you can increase the number of signal modules without changing hardware
  • Test Instrument Upgrade: if you add additional test instruments (such as an arbitrary waveform generator) you simply add the appropriate Transpar signal module and you're ready to test - again, without changing any hardware

TEMPTRONIC: ADVANCED THERMAL TEST SYSTEMS

Temptronic offers you a wide variety of thermal test solutions, from compact bench-top units to high-capacity, in-line production systems. Our technology's range of application is extremely broad, enabling cost-effective solutions for temperature soak, fast temperature cycling, or thermal shock testing of components, PCBs, samples, assemblies, materials, processes and more.

Temtronic equipment is not limited to stand-alone operation. It can be seamlessly integrated with your existing test system to add leading-edge temperature control to your test. Our Applications Group, with over 25 years' experience, is ready to assist you in developing an optimized temperature-test procedure for your application.
