Chip-on-Board (COB)

Chip-on-Board (COB) refers to the process of where a semiconductor dice is mounted onto a PC board to connect with other circuits. Chip-on-board approaches include wire-bonded and tape automated bonding. COB’s are coated with a potting material called epoxy.
